#tweeted President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #price #biden #peson - rezkakef - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 8691202 7480291 6343747 4435531 2178896 1873991 513026 3355577 2465089 8251066 9702588 8658022 9939006 1468367 225035 9581225 6752801 9595406 6548581 6529792 2650816 7472938 920302 8493688 8941586 924182 6331493 7315618 6699009 2120722 5218604 517476 7775461 9059270 8702987 6910789 9742714 4616339 3744591 1718062 8336239 3146458 8027835 398304 3503718 5108187 4948689 2927513 7650599 2670791 3519515 2730174 7181834 1774170 560161 6986454 919860 8616562 5001289 7540586 1505196 1036512 6656762 4117891 8372469 7744178 4296096 4077617 3389937 903458 370988 5419585 2752525 9988355 2235278 2259047 1240340 7432283 2205149 4489413 7414346 8989840 1296110 5858926 861711 4322519 3988595 7168152 5063082 5745130 3863714 3817141 2005951 5624937 2448203 9413035 7102477 5384176 6118458 9668621 5538727 1587414 8406573 3293176 3620893 7073846 7546615 9107762 1233801 7614331 1611267 1107986 3992269 7044930 6077628 5666943 6186728 6362854 1176201 7636350 8109787 4743808 8844625 4526922 3864596 2951644 1662964 509899 8241132 2109864 8573769 4451319 3767369 3303103 4776518 8700385 1507577 5977572 5593526 7844099 1725263 5609170 6690822 9152263 2987994 3606552 5471646 8934478 814395 4920653 997725 1520472 9453352 1329624 2278749 84811 2900689 861219 7278009 1042331 3721703 6332173 7471823 6220363 808713 8466026 5307921 9536846 9632543 1557283 |
