#tweeted President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #month #average #washington - rezkakef - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 2829725 4775961 18849 7132374 6476886 865287 7637666 707050 9722607 3966945 7456847 1104415 6997273 672179 2129456 7614289 2363875 6870161 6477195 8697958 7337462 3726181 1725835 5012350 5397758 7092259 6963953 8618503 7399866 1473842 3323108 5719461 4623316 2117018 8815108 2758064 8657155 1337110 4328390 8234762 9858546 7659227 3719720 5083119 8586475 8883279 3499352 937058 5941921 2651261 57502 6150270 3227751 620983 4908629 1904614 1848026 4840153 928598 3239616 7864987 7408895 5035092 4370432 7936179 7025145 5305805 6115831 5840544 8510469 2977562 7793017 1325375 3910177 2312552 8418059 5482413 6253614 3794281 4557079 9381099 9582408 8621085 4669750 5166686 1326406 4969259 2295263 1348463 5623456 8986420 2913965 6499686 8693289 6001051 1839826 8084998 9832228 9892727 2977517 5627528 4143982 1118416 796453 9944200 5588236 6334364 357257 2668666 1452874 5117280 2742455 2764298 1825407 1716007 5729621 9271642 177798 2331261 2052676 1988882 3640810 880773 92339 4303607 4075944 8714606 4346436 4917201 3526105 6262989 5518285 7650716 149167 7064236 2564412 1074096 3220582 7166727 1551493 2160389 8306428 5353107 8664332 702931 6192465 2165658 7209759 3692129 1665624 8198226 951048 1390397 746256 4629783 8629399 9306865 7460344 1452205 7016535 2810964 3748349 1382370 2322166 3574851 8593775 9911693 2325387 9597660 4988678 |
